The NBMEA is hosting the 2023 Atlantic Regional conference of the Canadian Music Educators’ Association at Fredericton High School on Saturday, October 28th. Our headlining presenters are Denise Gagne of Music Play and Dr. Peter Boonshaft, professor emeritus at Hofstra University and Director of Education at Jupiter Band Instruments. Additionally, there will be sessions offered on music technology, band pedagogy, advocacy/fundraising, choral technique, and more! There will also be a social event the evening of the 27th. A full program will be available in September.

The fee structure for this conference is as follows:

  • Non-NBMEA members (and non-CMEA members from other provinces): $150 (this includes your NBMEA & CMEA memberships for the year)
  • MEA members from other provinces (please provide proof): $100
  • Current NMBEA members: $90
  • Students/Retirees: $75
